He's Bacccckkkkkkk!
Ahhhhh it was great having Ridha take a break from all the things the business that keeps him away from Second Life and perform a show at Koeln Lounge. As usual, the audience was spellbound as he wove in and out of each song like a precision driver at the Indianapolis 500. My highlight was just seeing how happy people were that Ridha was back in Second Life.

Birthday Wishes
Our good friend Lemania Indigo, who in real life is an incredibly talented artist, celebrated her birthday in grand style yesterday in Second Life with a party and concert by none other than, Ridha! It was a great time, the SIM was full the entire night as party goers swayed to Ridha's music. A little stream issue in Second Life stopped the music for just a few minutes, otherwise we do believe Ridha would have sang straight through. Dancing, dancing dancing was the order of the day but by far Ridha's original tune "All I Need is You" brought down the house. Great show--great fun! Happy Birthday dear Lemania!
Thanks to Alishaba for grabbing some of these great shots!

Koeln Lounge Beauty
Ridha recently performed at the Koeln Lounge and my bad, I didn't blog it. My only excuse is this...like the people in attendance it is such a personal experience to hear Ridha. When he sings, I imagine, like everyone in attendance that each and every song is meant just for you. What a beautiful concert...hearing Bobby Vee's song "I Love You More Than I Can Say" always sends a chill down my spine. As always Ridha, like all your fans, I treasure every concert and every moment you take to share your musical gift with us.

Back to the 80's
The 1980’s brought us two revolutions in the music industry…MTV and the compact disc. It also brought us a wide diversity of music including new wave, rap, techno pop and metal. Last night in the SIM Greece Digital, Ridha celebrated this unique musical decade in song at their “Back to the 80’s” party sponsored by Radio Apodrasi (www.radioapodrasi.gr ) and the management of Greece Digital. Because of this, Ridha was not only performing before a large Second Life crowd, but for people around the world on the radio station’s stream. (Rumor has it his brother Walid was tuned in from Tunsia.) Ridha had the house rocking from the first note he hit and spent the rest of the evening weaving a tapestry of song that had the crowd wanting for more. It was a great party—lots of energy and people from all over the world enjoying a little bit of musical nostalgia. As always, Ridha made one more night in our lives special.

Ridha has spent the last few weeks shooting music videos for his new CD across Northern Italy. He thought you might enjoy seeing some of the behind the scenes shots of the production. Keep checking back as he will be giving you sneak peeks of the videos here!

April in Koelne Lounge
Wednesday Ridha did his April concert in Koeln Lounge and it was very memorable for many reasons. As usual he held the audience captive with his sweet song stylings. Here are some real time pictures of the concert from Ridha’s point of view—I’m sure you will enjoy seeing behind the scenes!

HOPE
It was called a concert for HOPE. As people from SL gathered to celebrate the brave battle people make daily with their fight for Cancer and the loved ones who stand by them through their journey. Ridha took the stage and soon the SIM filled…after Lemania let a few more people shoehorn in, the concert was in full swing. Ridha weaved together a set of songs that set everyone’s heart afire. So many highlights as always, but my personal favorite was his rendition of” Summertime”, people are still amazed at this mans versatility and range. I try not to be surprised but I always am. Can you imagine Ridha being anything but a singer? No, me either. Let’s keep supporting this amazing talent and let him know how much we appreciate his gift of music he shares with us. Also, remember all who suffer with cancer and anything that will break their bodies and spirit.
Thanks to Lemania for hosting the concert and thank you MagicMirror Fayray for snapping these great shots! Most of all thank you dearest Ridha.

Reaching Across Cultures
They say that music can cross all borders and knows no nationality. This evening in Second Life proved this. It was the kind of moment we think can’t happen in real time or on line. Today it happened. I don’t want to get political but war and hate is as old as time itself. So often we wonder if most of it couldn’t be erased if we just tried to learn more about the other people and their cultures. And then there was today.
In a SIM owned by Greek people a Tunisian born singer stood before a crowd of people from numerous countries and shared his Arabic music with all. Before the show started people arrived in Arabic clothing and opened their hearts and minds to the moment…and oh what a moment. As Ridha took the stage the music began and he held the crowd spellbound. I must admit before I met Ridha, Arabic music seemed unusual to my western ear. Then..I heard Ridha’s voice and listened to how he wrapped those Arabic words around those beautiful melodies. And…I fell in love with it.
Seeing all these people come together and love the music of Ridha’s culture made my heart sore. I can’t fully express how beautiful the moment was. It was….musical magic. It was…Peace and Love. It was our Ridha.
Thank you dear MagicMirror Fayray for taking these great shots!

Koeln Lounge was Rocking
Ridha played his monthly gig at the Koeln Lounge before another packed house. Shoes were flying (ladies were dancing so much their feet were hurting), love songs were crooned and the crowd cheered on their favorite SL performer. Lots and lots of highlights…for me getting to hear Ridha’s original music is always a bonus. If I can’t choose an original piece I guess his rendition on “My Way” would even knock ole Blue Eyes socks off!
Thanks to Sonsierei Lunasea for taking these great pictures!

Ridha Keeps Them Wanting More!
Whew--I have some catching up to do! Ridha has been busy in Second life so I need to backtrack a bit. I am sorry I am not providing pictures..I am having computer issues...if anyone has pictures they can share I'd appreciate it.
February 25th Ridha opened a club at Greece Digital and...the SIM was packed! WOW, what a show. Before the show our lovely hostess was a tad nervous...everything had to be perfect. Ha! How could it not be dear Lady, Ridha was opening your club. The language barrier was no issue...Ridha spoke the language of music and he was loved. Check calendar dates for this wonderful SIM, they want him back as often as he can play.
February 27 Ridha performed for a large group of well wishers for a Birthday party on Kae's Furniture Island to another (big surprise) full SIM. The beautiful marbled dance floor was full of party goers that fell in love with Ridha's song stylings. It was a beautiful party and yes, they asked Ridha back as well...as often as he can be there.
February 28 Ridha opened the new concert hall at the Eder Gira SIM to a (gasp) packed SIM. Wow, nobody wanted this one to end and Ridha played an extra 1/2 hour...I think he feared a riot if he stopped. I thought one concert goer summed up the night perfectly..."This was the best live concert performance I have ever attended!" Hmmm for those of us lucky enough to have seen Ridha do a few shows I believe what this woman says!
There will be more shows in March and I will do a better job of keeping you posted!

Happy Valentine's Day
On Valentine’s Day the Waterfall Ballroom on the Isle of Adaron opened it’s doors for the first time to a packed SIM and no wonder…Ridha was the performer! An enthusiastic dance floor swooned to the lovely song stylings of this amazing performer. Ridha weaved (as only he can do) song after song that touched people’s hearts and helped the party goers celebrate the day of love. I can’t imagine a more wonderful way to spend Valentine’s Day in Second Life. It was, as you would expect, magical. So many highlights but I’d have to say for me it was hearing Ridha sing “You Are My Destiny” for the first time was tops for me.

Koeln Lounge
It’s always nice to start the New Year fresh and ready to tackle all the challenges life presents us. It’s also nice to be part of things that have made us happy in the past. The concert at Koeln Lounge was just that. Hearing all of Ridha’s new music is always exciting. But hearing the old familiar songs like Aisha still gets the heart pumping and feet moving. It was the first time Ridha visited this German SIM and I am happy to say it will be a monthly visit. It is really fun to see all the different people from around this world come together and be part of a special musical moment. Off the top of my head I know there were Italian, German, French, Romania and American people in attendance. Togther we were one family coming together as fans of this amazing musician and artist. Happy New Year everyone.
